Position Summary
Ifakara Health Institute (IHI), through the Transmission Zero Project, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Scientist with expertise in molecular biology and related disciplines to support cutting-edge genomics and transgenesis research aimed at malaria control and elimination in Africa.
The successful candidate will support advanced molecular biology and transgenesis research activities within a Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory environment while ensuring compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Parasitology, or a related field.
Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and molecular biology research practices. Hands-on experience and a strong background in molecular biology and parasitology techniques will be an added advantage.
