Position Summary

Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) is seeking highly motivated and skilled graduates to join the Transmission Zero Project as Research Officers on a contract basis to support genomics and transgenesis research activities aimed at advancing malaria control and elimination efforts in Tanzania and across Africa.

The successful candidates will support laboratory-based transgenesis research activities within a Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory environment, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols and laboratory procedures. 

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a science-related degree, preferably in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Candidates with at least one (1) year of experience in a similar field, including hands-on experience in molecular biology and parasitology techniques, will have an added advantage.
