At the next UNICEF Speakers Series, care of critically ill patients in Tanzania will be discussed. The event is scheduled to take place virtually on Thursday 10th of February 2022 from 2.00-3.30pm EAT. Participants should register here [link]. During this event, researchers with the Provision of Essential Treatment in Critical Illness (POETIC) project at Ifakara – Dr. Tim Baker, Karima Khalid, Elibariki Mkumbo and Lorna Guinness – will present findings from their research on the topic. Dr. Mike Kiremeji from the Ministry of Health, Tanzania, Dr. Haika Kimambo from the WHO, Tanzania and Dr. Said Kilindimo from the Emergency Medicine unit at MUHAS, Tanzania, will join for the panel discussion.

Among other things, the events are used to share the vital work that UNICEF does to save and improve children’s lives in over 190 countries and territories around the world.
