Ifakara Health Institute’s Mathematical Modelling and Data Science Capacity Project, led by Dr. Samson Kiware, takes part in the Data Tamasha 2021 at the College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Kijitonyama Campus.

The Data Tamasha, which kicks off today, will last three days, from 6th – 8th December 2021. Themed “Unboxing Data for the Digital Economy,” the event brings together data experts from all over the world to explore the role of data in decision-making. This Data Tamasha is the third event after the first and the second were organized 2017 and 2019.

Ifakara Health Institute has a booth in an exhibition session to show how Ifakara based surveillance systems support malaria surveillance in Tanzania and how real-time data is reported. Also, Ifakara will join the panel discussion where Dr. Samson Kiwale and Dr. Isaac Lyatuu will share their insights on data science applications in health care.
