The Ifakara Health Institute extends heartfelt congratulations to Professor Tumaini Nagu on her appointment as the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PORALG) in-charge of the health portfolio.

Her appointment was officially announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Secretary, Dr. Moses Kusiluka, through the Directorate of Presidential Communications. Prior to this, Prof. Nagu served as the Chief Medical Officer in the Ministry of Health, where she played a key role in shaping national health policies and strengthening health systems across Tanzania.

Ifakara Health Institute celebrates this milestone in Prof. Nagu’s career and looks forward to continuing its close collaboration with the PORALG – one of our key partners – in advancing quality healthcare delivery at the local government level.
