On July 23, 2024, Ifakara Health Institute visited the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute to strengthen their partnership. Ifakara’s Grants & Contracts Office is helping set up the Cardiac Institute’s new Grants Office aimed at enhancing their ability to maximize research opportunities as a leading cardiac institute in Africa.

The delegation from Ifakara consisted of Dr. Zawadi Mageni Mboma, Senior Grants & Contracts Officer; Dr. Samson Kiware, Senior Research Scientist; and Felix Brown, Senior Project Administrator. This visit is part of an existing long-standing collaboration, which has facilitated joint efforts with their research unit.
