LEADERSHIP: Senior Ifakara director among UONGOZI Institute graduates
Senior Programme Director at Ifakara Health Institute, Dr. Dunstan Bishanga, is among 198 leaders and executives who graduated from this year’s prestigious leadership programme organized by the UONGOZI Institute, Tanzania in partnership with Aalto University Executive Education, Finland.
Dr. Bishanga, currently the Chief of Party of the PMI Shinda (Defeat) Malaria project, which is implemented by Ifakara Health Institute – simply Ifakara – and partners, attended the programme with financial support from the Ifakara Health Institute.
Former President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete was the chief guest at the event held on Friday, May 17, 2024, in Dar es Salaam, which was also attended by the Minister of State in the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, George Simbachawene.
“This event is organized to celebrate the accomplishment of those who have completed our long-term executive programmes: Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership (PGD), Certificate in Leadership (CiL), and Women’s Leadership Programme (WLP),” notes the UONGOZI Institute.
“The programmes aim to develop leadership competencies in personal leadership, people leadership, and organizational leadership. They are dedicated to leaders who want to propel their professional development without putting their careers on hold. The faculty is composed of thought leaders, top experts, and researchers from around the world."
About the Certificate in Leadership
Dr. Bishanga received a Certificate in Leadership – a self-paced programme designed for emerging leaders and executives working in any industry across Africa.
The Programme, with three modules running for a period of six months, provides tools for leaders to effectively manage their resources to achieve sustainable development. It is a ‘must-have’ in today’s rapidly changing business world.
