HEARD project dissemination in Dodoma
Researchers from Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) and partner institutions disseminated results of the USAID funded Health Evaluation and Applied Research Development (HEARD) project, obtained from a study on urban nutrition and (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – WaSH) for children, adolescents and mothers in poor urban settings.
Presenters were: seasoned researcher Dr. Ester Elisaria from IHI, Head of the IHI Data Systems Unit Charles Festo, IHI Research Scientist Jackline Mrema; and Churchill Shakim from Tamasha – a Dar es Salaam-based youth participatory development organization. Apart from IHI and Tamasha, other partners supporting the project are: USAID and University Research Company (URC).
The results were disseminated before public health stakeholders in Dodoma. They included Assist Director of Nutritional Services from the Ministry of Health, Dr. Grace Moshi; and Samson Ndimanga, Senior Research Officer from the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Center. #IHIdisseminates
