Theresia Ephraim Mpeko is an executive administration and senior management support professional serving as Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Director (CED) at the Ifakara Health Institute. In this role, she provides high-quality executive and administrative support to the CED, while also supporting the Chief Operations Officer and the Director of Science in coordinating key institutional priorities.
Theresia plays an important role in supporting the Institute’s governance and management functions, including the preparation and coordination of meetings of the Board, Committees of the Board and Management Committee. Her responsibilities include coordinating meeting schedules, preparing and organizing agendas and supporting materials, managing documentation, recording and following up on action points, and ensuring timely circulation of relevant information.
She brings more than five years of experience in executive assistance, senior management support and office administration across international organizations, professional services and the health sector. Prior to joining Ifakara, she served as a Project Administration Officer at Management and Development for Health (MDH), where she supported project leadership and management teams with meetings, reports, presentations, documentation, travel and administrative coordination. She previously worked as a Personal Assistant/Executive Support professional at PwC Tanzania and as Administrative Assistant to the Country Director at Jhpiego Tanzania.
At Ifakara, Theresia contributes to an efficient and well-coordinated Executive Office by managing confidential information and correspondence, supporting senior-level engagements, coordinating schedules and logistics, and ensuring effective documentation and follow-up. Her experience in records management, meeting coordination, executive correspondence and preparation of reports and briefing materials enables her to support leadership decision-making through accurate documentation and timely coordination.
Theresia holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor of Public Administration in Health Systems Management from Mzumbe University. She is skilled in Microsoft 365 applications, digital document management, collaboration platforms and AI productivity tools.
