vmteki@ihi.or.tzVallentine Nyaruga Mteki is a Research Assistant currently working on the Sauti ya Vijana Project (SYV) within the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI), a mental health intervention aimed at improving HIV outcomes in Tanzanian youth aged 10-24 years. The project, spanning from 2022 to 2026, involves collaboration with Duke University, KCMC, Baylor Mwanza, and Baylor Mbeya.
He pursued his education at Lugalo Military College of Medical Science in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cardiovascular Technology (CVT).
Prior to his current position, Vallentine served as a Research Nurse and an Assistant Nursing Officer on various projects. He is an active member of the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Association (TNMC).
