Job Description

Position Summary Ifakara Health Institute seeks a qualified and experienced Research Scientist (Health Economist). The Researcher will join the Deep project which is funded through the Data and Evidence to End Extreme Poverty (DEEP) Challenge, and aims to study the dynamics of health and poverty and provide recommendations for improving population health and reducing poverty. The role involves supporting the implementation of the research project, which will primarily involve managing and analyzing large datasets from national household surveys, report writing, and dissemination of findings.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a master’s degree in Health Economics or Economics specializing in health economics with experience in undertaking health-related research, particularly on health financing.
