It's Nyerere Day today. Every 14th of October Tanzanians honour the memory of the nation's first president and the number one leader in independence movement. He also led in effecting the union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar into the single nation of Tanzania.

We at Ifakara Health Institute celeberate his iconic support to our Institute in the mission of improving health and wellbeing of people through research, training and related services.
