Full Title Use of skilled attendance at childbirth in rural Tanzania: the role
of social and material inequalities.

 Short Title

 Project Leader Sydney A. Spangler

Description The purpose of this study is to better understand the use of skilled
attendance at childbirth in a rural Tanzanian setting where this service is being supplied. More specifically, it will seek to explain how and why women of different social and material positions use or do not use this service. This study is meant to be a compliment to the Postpartum Interview (PPI) Study that will be conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in collaboration with IHRDC.
