The project is
aiming at reducing maternal and prenatal death in peripheral and remote areas.
Through improving infrastructure at the health facilities, Upgrading the skill
of the services providers through training and Provisioning of essential
equipments at the Referral hospitals and health centres.
·Developing a functioning transport system for
referrals.
·Provisioning and distribution of safe and
adequate blood to referral hospitals and health centers.
·To increase morale and upgrade skills to health
workers so that they could be able to attend complicated obstetrical cases.
·Provisioning of safe and adequate blood
transportation to Referral hospitals and health centers.
·Enable AMOS sort out obstetrical cases early and
timely major complications to referral hospitals.
To increase coverage of deliveries attended by
skilled personnel by 10% by 2010 in Singida and Iramba District.
