Mtwara
IHI's Mtwara office opened in 2001 to undertake a set of research studies concerning IPTi - Intermittent Preventive Treatment [of malaria] in Infants in six districts of Lindi and Mtwara regions. Although this project has since concluded, the site is also host to projects concerning Maternal Health and Neonatal health and survival.
The office is located adjacent to Ligula Hospital in Mtwara town. 11 IHI staff are permanently based at Mtwara.
