Governance Structure

Overview

The Board of Trustees oversees the overall management of the institute. The Management Committee under the leadership of the Director is responsible for the daily management of institute’s activities supported by Scientific and Ethical committees. An internationally reputable auditing firm audits the financial management of the institute.

Governance

The supreme governance body of IHI is the Board of Governors. This meets once a year to receive the report of the Director. The Board of Trustees, on the other hand, meets twice a year for a more detailed progress report.

Meanwhile, periodic oversight is undertaken by the Management Committee, which meets on a monthly basis. This assures production of project financial and technical reports to facilitate smooth running of projects. Daily running of project activities is reviewed during weekly project and unit leaders’ meetings.
